AHL Best Hitter Award to Bethesda's Jerry Gibbs Monday, July 1st, 2019 Jerry Gibbs is not used to being associated with Batter of the Month-caliber players, but today the Bethesda first baseman joined that select company when the August Herrman League announced the results of June's voting. Gibbs totaled 25 hits, 8 walks, 6 home runs, 20 RBIs and 18 runs scored last month to put together a .368 batting average and .469 on-base percentage. This year Gibbs is hitting .332 with 19 home runs and 65 RBIs to his credit. He has gotten on base at a .437 clip and scored 50 runs. |
