BOL Player of the Week Goes to Buker of Chippewa Monday, June 24th, 2019 Russ Buker is respected by most Chippewa River Chiefs fans for his no-frills style of play. The 24-year-old first baseman went about his business with vigor last week to grab the Buck O'Neil League Player of the Week honors. He compiled a .346 average (9-26) with 4 home runs, 10 RBIs and 6 runs scored. Thus far this season Buker is hitting .307 with 16 home runs, 57 RBIs and 51 runs scored. He has 89 hits in 290 at-bats and has played in 75 games. |
