White Hit String Snapped at 22
Tuesday, June 11th, 2019
All good things must come to an end -- and so it was today for Doug White as he saw his 22-game hitting streak end. He went hitless in 2 at-bats at the hands of the Stealers. It wasn't all bad for the 18-year-old first baseman and the Palm Beach Bums, as they defeated Cherry Hill 5-4 at Envoys Ballpark.

When asked about his hitting streak, a smiling White laughed and said, "I guess my luck ran out today."

This season White has delivered 82 hits in 236 at-bats for a .347 average with 6 home runs. He is getting on base at a .402 clip and his totals also include 39 RBIs and 42 runs scored. This year White has played in 61 games.
