Sting Lose Yamada for 4 Months Saturday, June 8th, 2019 The Houston Sting will lose the services of starting pitcher Akihito Yamada after he sustained a torn rotator cuff while throwing a pitch in today's game against the Palm Beach Bums. "I'll get through it," Yamada said. "The key now is to stay positive." His trainer said he is expected to be sidelined for 4 months. So far this season, Yamada has logged a 2-1 record with a 4.11 ERA. He has started 3 games, hurled 35 innings and registered 35 strikeouts and 15 walks. |
