Canó Batters Westside Big Time Monday, May 20th, 2019 5 times is a charm -- at least in the world of baseball. When a player gets 5 or more hits in a game, he is honored in the record book and the latest honoree is Ángel Canó of the Whitewater Eagles. He tore up the Westside Road Warriors to the tune of 5 hits in 5 at-bats in the Whitewater 9-8 win today at The Aerie. "Canó was a tough out today," the Westside manager said to the press in the postgame interview. "He hit some very good pitches with that quick bat of his. Not an easy out, that's for sure." Ángel Canó singled in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, hit an RBI double in the 5th, hit an RBI single in the 6th and singled in the 9th. This year Canó has hit 3 home runs and posted a .348 batting average. |
