Suspensions Handed Out for Bench-Clearing Brawl
Sunday, May 19th, 2019
When fights happen, suspensions are not far behind. That axiom was held to be true today when Barrow's Dave Coulter and Baltimore's Kalidas Keskar were given a temporary vacation from the game, courtesy of the league commissioner's office.
They both were suspended for 3 games for their actions in a recent ruckus between the two teams. Both benches cleared when Coulter charged Keskar.
Both players have accepted their fate and will begin serving their suspensions immediately. Neither would talk to reporters about the confrontation.
This season Coulter is batting .393 with 2 home runs. His totals include 22 RBIs and 19 runs scored.
This season Keskar has worked 47.2 innings with 38 strikeouts en route to a 5-3 record and a 4.72 ERA.
