AHL Selects Owens April's Best Pitcher Wednesday, May 1st, 2019 Any time a rookie makes a splash on the scene, it's got to be great for his career potential. Just ask Jacob Owens, who put together a stellar month out of the pen. The Westside Road Warriors reliever, 25, kept the opposition off balance all month as he held them to a .145 average and walked away with the August Herrman League Pitcher of the Month award for April. Owens posted a 4-0 mark and a 0.46 ERA in 11 relief appearances. In 19.2 innings, he had 1 save, 21 strikeouts, and 3 walks. |
