Ridin' High: Fleming Hits for Cycle
Tuesday, April 9th, 2019
Houston's Steve Fleming accomplished what few others have been able to do -- he hit for the cycle. In baseball, a player hits for the cycle when he hits a single, a double, a triple and a home run in the same game, though not necessarily in that order. Collecting the hits in that order is known as a "natural cycle."

For the day he finished 4-6 with 7 RBI and 3 runs scored and helped his Sting knock off the Palm Beach Bums 13-9 at Woodland Park. In the postgame press conference he said, "I didn't even know I had hit for the cycle until after the game."

Steve Fleming hit an RBI double in the 1st, grounded out in the 2nd, hit a two-run single in the 3rd, tripled in the 5th, grounded out in the 7th and hit a three-run home run off Kyuichi Miyazaki in the 8th.

So far this season Fleming has gotten 8 hits in 26 at-bats for a .308 batting average with 1 home run. His stats include 9 RBIs and 7 runs scored. He has played in 7 games.
