Chippewa's Fujii Named BOL's Best Player
Monday, April 8th, 2019
Takashi Fujii seems to put youthful exuberance into every pitch he throws and last week he threw up numbers that even the oldest of veterans would look at with envy. That's why the 19-year-old hurler was chosen the Buck O'Neil League Player of the Week Award.
Fujii notched 2 wins for the Chippewa River Chiefs. He finished the week with 13 strikeouts and an ERA of 0.61 while holding the opposition to a .170 average.
