6-Hit Barrage by Ross Tuesday, September 25th, 2018 It doesn't happen very often, but it happened for Steve Ross -- a 6-hit day. He went on a rampage at Baylor Ballpark and paced the Fascists to a 21-3 win over the Sanford Stingrays. After his dynamite batting performance the Roman right fielder told the press, "I just tried to get myself in a good count and have a good at-bat. That's all I can control." His philosophy paid some great dividends today. He slammed 6 hits in 6 tries and put his name in the record book. Steve Ross singled in the 1st, was hit by a pitch in the 2nd, singled in the 3rd, hit an RBI single in the 5th, singled in the 7th, singled in the 8th and hit an RBI single in the 9th. Thus far this season in 37 games Ross is batting .315 with 2 home runs, 13 RBIs and 15 runs scored. He has 28 hits in 89 at-bats. |
