Whitewater SP Johiya Will Miss 4-5 Months
Sunday, August 19th, 2018
The Whitewater Eagles learned that Fakhruddin Johiya is likely to be out for 4-5 months after he injured himself throwing a pitch in today's game against the Sanford Stingrays. A round of tests by the team doctor revealed the injury to be shoulder inflammation. Upon hearing the diagnosis, the Whitewater manager told the press, "As you all know, we can't control injuries -- they are a part of the game. We just have to do the best we can until Fakhruddin is back in action."
This year Johiya has made 14 starts, thrown 76.2 innings, fanned 64 batters and walked 37. His won-lost record is 4-5 with a 4.70 ERA.
