Shirai's 24-Game Hit Streak Ends Tuesday, July 24th, 2018 The Blue Claws lost to Barrow today by the score of 7-5 at The Blizzard Bowl, but the bigger story was the end of a hit streak. Baltimore second baseman Yasuhide Shirai was working on a 24-game hitting streak, but went 0-for-4 against the Frosties as the hot stretch came to an end. To date, Shirai has collected 98 hits for a .283 average. He has posted 5 home runs, scored 53 runs and driven in 32 runs. |
