Big Bat Pays Off, Pérez Player of the Week Monday, July 23rd, 2018 A hot-hitting week got Júlio Pérez the Buck O'Neil League Player of the Week trophy. He really wore out his welcome with league pitchers. The St. Paul center fielder slammed them for a .800 average, 12 hits in 15 at-bats, no home runs, 4 RBIs and scored 4 runs. In the postgame press conference, Pérez shared his hitting philosophy with the BNN scribes: "Just look for the seams and hit between them... nothin' more than that." Presently Pérez is batting .303 and has collected 1 home run, 31 RBIs, .422 OBP and scored 29 runs. |
