Hit Parade: Ortíz Pops 5 Hits Tuesday, July 17th, 2018 Alejandro Ortíz of the Frosties was unstoppable in today's 19-3 victory over the San Angelo Mustangs at The Blizzard Bowl. He battered them for 5 hits in 5 at-bats. "Boy, I was on the mark today," said the Barrow second baseman after the game. "I could see the ball real well. It's a great feeling to do this. And besides, 5-5 won't hurt your batting average like 0-5 will." Alejandro Ortíz hit a three-run home run off Fernando Ramírez in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, hit an RBI triple in the 4th, hit an RBI double in the 5th and hit an RBI single in the 7th. This season Ortíz has hit at a .350 clip and produced 8 runs batted in, 1 home run and 8 runs. |
