Bauer Put in Cooler, Hitless Against Westside
Tuesday, May 15th, 2018
Wendell Bauer saw his 22-game hitting streak wither and die today during the Princes 10-1 victory over Westside at Philip Banks Field. The 24-year-old center fielder was held hitless in 4 at-bats by Road Warriors, but his Bel Air teammates produced enough offense to garner the win.
Talking to reporters after the game, Bauer was upbeat. "Am I disappointed about the hit streak? Maybe, just a little bit. How could you be unhappy after you have hit in 22 straight games? I'm just glad it lasted as long as it did. And I am really happy that we won another ballgame today. Life is good."
So far this year Bauer is batting .331 with 4 home runs.
