League Takes Action, Burns Suspended
Friday, April 27th, 2018
It is one thing to gentlemanly discuss an umpire's decision, but a prolonged argument is not acceptable. There are consequences when a player violates this principle. Rob Burns, center fielder for the Whitewater Eagles, has been banned by the league for 5 games for his inappropriate behavior in a recent game with Sanford. He was ejected after vehemently disputing a called third strike.
Burns is batting .238 this year with 3 home runs, 8 RBIs and 7 runs scored. He has 15 hits in 63 at-bats.
