Vimpany Touches All the Bases, Hits for Cycle
Monday, April 16th, 2018
Winfield's Graeme Vimpany had a great game in the 7-6 loss to the St. Paul Saints. The Warriors second baseman went 4-for-4, including hitting for the cycle, but his club went down to defeat anyway. "Everything they threw him, he was swatting around the field," said the Winfield skipper. "It really was a spectacular performance for Graeme. It's a shame we couldn't win the game, too."
Graeme Vimpany walked in the 1st, doubled in the 3rd, hit a solo-shot off Kiyoshi Kojima in the 5th, singled in the 7th and tripled in the 9th.
Vimpany is hitting .324 this year with 1 home run, 4 RBIs and 11 runs scored. He has 12 hits in 37 at-bats, 4 walks and a .390 on-base percentage. Vimpany has played in 11 games.
