Gary Gets 3-Game Suspension Friday, June 30th, 2017 Kris Gary of the New Orleans Jedi Knights has been reprimanded and given a 3-game suspension for a shouting match with the plate umpire during a recent game at The Republic with the St. Paul Saints. The Jedi Knights center fielder said he didn't touch the umpire, but the umpire insisted he did. "I didn't see it, I didn't feel it," Gary said. "I was trying everything I could not to make contact with him. The league always sides with umpires. There is no use to appeal." So far on the season Gary is hitting .252 with 1 home run, 10 RBIs and 12 runs scored. He has 30 hits and played in 42 games. |
