3-Game Suspensions for Ota-Díaz Fight Monday, May 15th, 2017 One player challenged the other with some angry words at the Vikings-River Chiefs game at The drakkar yesterday. There was some pushing and shoving -- then the dugouts emptied. There was a lot of scuffling, but no punches thrown. When order was finally restored and the dust settled, the umpires ejected Victoria's Makoto Ota and Chippewa's Pedro Díaz. Now both antagonists will get some time off, courtesy of the league commissioner. They were suspended 3 games for inappropriate and aggressive behavior. Ota is hitting .200 this year with no home runs, 0 RBIs and no runs scored. He has 2 hits in 10 at-bats, 1 walk and a .333 on-base percentage. Ota has played in 11 games.
