Greene Chosen #1 Player Monday, May 1st, 2017 Wilford Greene stepped up to the plate in a big way last week and today he took home the Buck O'Neil League Player of the Week honors. The Coney Island center fielder ripped opposing pitchers for 11 hits in 18 at-bats and 1 home run. He put together a sizzling .611 batting average as he knocked in 6 runs and scored 7 times. This season Greene has delivered 24 hits in 88 at-bats for a .273 average with 3 home runs. He is getting on base at a .333 clip and his totals also include 14 RBIs and 17 runs scored.
