Hit Parade: Matsumoto Pops 5 Hits Monday, September 19th, 2016 Somedays you can't win for losing. Just ask Tobei Matsumoto. He was the King of Swing in the game against the Mustangs, but his Warriors were beaten 12-9 anyway. The Winfield center fielder stepped into the batter's box 5 times against the San Angelo and delivered 5 hits. It was a sensational game for him. He excitedly told the press, "Unbelieveable feeling. It felt great on the one hand, but a downer at the same time. 5-for-5! It does wonders for your batting average. But it's a shame we couldn't win it, too." Tobei Matsumoto singled in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, hit a GRAND SLAM off Jerry Elliott in the 6th and singled in the 9th. |
