AHL Top Pitcher Award for May to Cucalón Wednesday, June 1st, 2016 Máximo Cucalón has made fans throughout Single A take notice over the past month with an exceptional 4-1 record. No pitcher in the August Herrman League threw better in May, garnering him the Pitcher of the Month award today. In 5 starts Cucalón compiled a 0.74 ERA, putting up a 4-1 record, striking out 39 and tossing 36.1 innings. Up to now Cucalón has compiled an ERA of 1.00 with a 5-2 mark over 10 starts. He has 69 strikeouts in 72 innings and has held opponents to a .156 batting average. |
