Super Swinger -- López Slams 5 Hits Friday, October 2nd, 2015 After the Westside 7-6 victory over Bel Air and his 5-hit day center fielder Pablo López told BNN beat writers, "It really doesn't matter whether it's sandlot ball, high school or college ball, two hits in a game are very good... three or four hits even better... 5 or more are out of sight... and if it is in pro ball... it is really something special." The 20-year-old player gained that distinction today at Philip Banks Field with a spectacular 5 for 5 game against the Bel Air Princes. The skipper of the Road Warriors spoke glowingly of López, telling BNN writers, "His swing is getting there. We want him to be quick with his swing, short and compact. We want him to be patient and go the other way when he can. Pablo did that to perfection today." Pablo López singled in the 1st, hit an RBI single in the 3rd, hit an RBI single in the 5th, doubled in the 8th and singled in the 9th. Thus far this year López is batting .263 with 12 home runs, 72 RBIs and 87 runs scored. |
