Penzance's Petersen Winner, AHL Best Hitter in May Monday, June 1st, 2015 May was an outstanding month for Penzance right fielder Martin Petersen and it was capped off today with the announcement that he was named the winner of the August Herrman League Batter of the Month award. Petersen compiled a .356 batting average and .450 on-base percentage for the month. In 28 games he piled up 36 hits, 7 home runs, 25 RBIs and 17 runs scored. In 48 games Petersen is hitting .291 this season with 48 hits, 8 home runs, 30 RBIs, 26 walks, .395 OBP and has scored 26 runs. |
