St. Paul's Venegas Injured, Out of Lineup Saturday, July 26th, 2014 Domingo Venegas at first refused to leave today's Nichols-St. Paul game after he suffered a partially torn ulnar collateral ligament while throwing a pitch. But his manager convinced him not to be foolish. "I want to be on the field," the feisty St. Paul starting pitcher said. "I'll play through just about anything." Given time to reflect on the situation, he knew it was in his best interest to get immediate treatment. The injury is expected to keep Venegas out of action for 11-12 months. |
