AHL's Star Player Named Monday, June 16th, 2014 It can be difficult for a young player to step out of the shadows and assert himself in the August Herrman League, but last week Felipe Martínez of the Sanford Stingrays reminded everyone just why he's here as he threw up numbers that made him an easy selection for Player of the Week. Martínez rocked opposing pitching for a .579 average (11-19), 1 home run and 4 RBIs to come away with the award. Thus far this year Martínez is batting .289 with 5 home runs, 17 RBIs and 22 runs scored. |
