Red-Hot Liriano AHL Player of the Week Monday, May 5th, 2014 It was a fantastic week for Houston first baseman Luis Liriano and it was capped off today with the announcement that he was named the winner of the August Herrman League Player of the Week Award. Last week Liriano hammered the ball at a torrid .478 pace, going 11-23 with 1 home run, 5 RBIs and 2 runs scored. In 24 games this season Liriano has batted at a .366 pace with 34 hits and 1 home run. |
