Barrow's Sonnino to Miss 13 Months Sunday, July 7th, 2013 Dealing with injuries is part of the game, and now Domeneco Sonnino of the Frosties knows this firsthand. He was injured against the Las Vegas Lost while throwing a pitch. Because of a torn flexor tendon in his elbow, the Barrow starting pitcher is expected to miss 13 months. Sonnino was a little upset, but understands it comes with the territory. "Baseball can be a contact sport. You try to be careful, but no matter how careful you are, injuries happen." In 16 starts this season Sonnino has notched a 3-6 record and a 2.92 ERA. |
