Dearborn Starting Pitcher Out Wednesday, April 24th, 2013 Baseball can be a contact sport at times. It can exact a harsh toll on a player's body. In a recent game against Bethesda Hornets, Pioneers starting pitcher Willard Knapp was injured throwing a pitch and is expected to miss 4-5 months with a sore shoulder. The team did not announce any roster moves today related to this injury. The Dearborn skipper told BNN that personnel decisions would be announced as early as tomorrow. This season Knapp has worked 27 innings with 22 strikeouts en route to a 2-0 record and a 2.00 ERA. |
