Hideki Sakaguchi Sidelined for 4-5 Months Saturday, September 14th, 2019 The Defenders will be minus Hideki Sakaguchi for about 4-5 months after the reliever suffered shoulder inflammation while throwing a pitch in a recent game against Frisco. Sakaguchi and the West Coast skipper were hoping further examination might show there was less damage than originally thought and he would be absent a shorter duration. So far this season, Sakaguchi has compiled a 1-0 won-lost mark with no saves and a 11.57 ERA. In 30.1 innings he has fanned 24 and opponents are hitting him at a .339 clip. |
