Varerla Wins ACL Player of the Week Prize Monday, September 9th, 2019 Eduardo Varerla burst onto the Alexander Cartwright League stage in a big way last week. This promising rookie second baseman for Newark garnered everyone's respect by putting up some remarkable numbers and picking up the Player of the Week trophy. The 25-year-old haunted opposing pitchers hitting .440 (11-25) with 4 home runs and 11 RBIs last week. So far this year, Varerla is batting .324 with 19 home runs and 52 RBIs. |
