Kato Rips San Antonio for 5 Hits Saturday, August 31st, 2019 It was high-5 day at The Clone Army, at least for Akira Kato of the Madison Beehive. He got a lot of high-5's for his outstanding hitting against the San Antonio Storm Troopers, but he and his teammates couldn't pull out a win. Kato smashed 5 hits in 6 at-bats on a his record-setting day, but Madison still dropped the game 11-6. His manager said, "Akira was hitting everything. It really was a special game for him. Too bad the other guys couldn't rise to the occasion and get the victory." In the other dugout the opposing manager told BNN writers, "Kato bushwhacked my boys today. Obviously we didn't have much success against him, but luckily, we won the ballgame." Akira Kato singled in the 1st, hit an RBI double in the 2nd, doubled in the 4th, hit a two-run single in the 5th, singled in the 7th and struck out in the 9th. This year Kato is batting .247 with 115 hits, 1 home run, 39 RBIs, 39 walks, .306 OBP and has scored 67 runs. |
