Adams Goes Hitless, Streak Stopped at 26
Thursday, August 22nd, 2019
Wolverines first baseman Ryan Adams went 0-for-4 today in Wichita's 3-2 triumph over the Madison Beehive, snapping his 26-game hitting streak.

Adams spoke to BNN after the game and said, "I knew the hitting streak would end sooner or later. I just would have preferred later."

When he made an out in his last chance at bat, his teammates congratulated him in the dugout.

The Beehive manager shrugged off the streak. "There's nothing scientific about it, that's for sure," he said. "He had a nice little run. Let him start another one when we finish the series here."

Thus far in 2019 Adams is hitting .320 with 16 home runs, 82 RBIs, 78 runs scored and has compiled a .423 OBP.
