White Strokes 5 Hits Wednesday, August 7th, 2019 It wasn't just another day at the ballpark for Doug White. It was a very special day, one that many players never experience. But he did. White went on a tear and cracked hit after hit off Frisco pitching. When the dust settled on the diamond at Cobras Ballpark, he had a career 5-6 day and something he will long remember. And the Newark Jail Birds had a 7-6 victory over the Rams. "Yeah, it'll be something nice to tell the grandkids, but it won't get me a hit tomorrow," he joked in the postgame interview. Doug White doubled in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, flied out in the 4th, singled in the 6th, hit an RBI double in the 8th and singled in the 10th. Currently White is batting .269 with 3 home runs, 13 RBIs and 14 runs scored. |
