Temple Loses Carter Davenport
Sunday, July 14th, 2019
The Temple Goers learned that Carter Davenport is likely to be out for 4-5 months after he injured himself throwing a pitch in today's game against the Jacksonville Hellcats. A round of tests by the team doctor revealed the injury to be a torn rotator cuff. Upon hearing the diagnosis, the Temple manager told the press, "As you all know, we can't control injuries -- they are a part of the game. We just have to do the best we can until Carter is back in action."

For the season Davenport is 1-and-0 with 1 save and a 4.68 ERA. He has given up 49 hits in 42.1 innings with 41 strikeouts.
