Deacons Gary Named FFL's Best Pitcher Monday, July 1st, 2019 "The kid had it all working last month," a veteran teammate told reporters. "He keeps up those kind of numbers, we might have to start inviting him out with us after the games." Nate Gary put together a very solid month to take home the Ford Frick League's top pitching honor in June. The 23-year-old reliever threw like a veteran. In 14 relief appearances he raked in 10 saves and 12 strikeouts in 12.2 innings as he put together his 1-1 record and 2.84 ERA. This year in 32 relief appearances, Gary has collected 18 saves while posting an ERA of 3.38 and 28 strikeouts in 29.1 innings. His totals for the year also include 1 win and 4 losses. |
