Bad News for Long Island, Martin Injured Friday, June 7th, 2019 Roy Martin expressed his disappointment when he learned that a torn rotator cuff would sideline him for 8 months. "I'll just spend a lot of time in the training room and hopefully speed up the healing process. Nobody likes to be out of the line-up," explained Martin. The reliever got hurt in today's game with the Spokane Bulldogs. He was hurt throwing a pitch. Team officials had no comment on his roster replacement. To date, Martin has collected 2 saves in 20 relief appearances. He has rung up 38 strikeouts and 22 walks in 26.1 innings while registering a 5.47 ERA and a 0-1 won-lost record. |
