Mustangs Stop bin Mufeed at 21 Thursday, May 30th, 2019 The Bird-in-Hand Hunters lost to the Yorba Linda Mustangs 4-3 today at Bloomfield Road, but perhaps the bigger news was the end of Shadi bin Mufeed's 21-game hitting streak. "We felt if we could slow down bin Mufeed, we would win the game," the Mustangs manager explained after the game. "They really seemed to feed off of his streak, so we really wanted to make sure they had nothing to feed off of." Currently bin Mufeed is hitting .385 and has collected 1 home run, 12 RBIs and scored 20 times, while playing in 23 games. |
