Cummings Has Hot Hand, Bangs 5 hits Friday, May 24th, 2019 Spokane catcher Tim Cummings banged out 5 hits today, but it was not enough to keep his club from succumbing to the Beehive 4-1. He went 5-for-5 and raised his batting average a few points. Despite the loss, Cummings was not dismayed: "If the hits keep coming," he said, "so will the runs -- and more importantly -- so will the wins." Tim Cummings singled in the 1st, singled in the 4th, singled in the 5th, singled in the 7th and singled in the 9th. Cummings is hitting .324 so far this season with 31 RBIs and 38 runs scored. He has 56 hits including 6 home runs, 24 walks and .406 OBP. |
