Pérez Belts 5 Hits Thursday, May 23rd, 2019 At The Kennel Gustavo Pérez of the Madison Beehive put on a hitting clinic today against Spokane. He banged out 5 hits in 5 at-bats and mauled Bulldogs pitching, but came up short in the win department. In spite of his standout 5-hit performance, the Bulldogs captured the game by the score of 8-7. "Hey, it's great to get that many hits in a game, but it would have been nice to win the game, too," were his words in the postgame interview. Gustavo Pérez hit a solo-shot off Mark Stevenson in the 1st, singled in the 4th, singled in the 5th, singled in the 7th and singled in the 9th. Currently Pérez is batting .288 with 36 hits and 7 home runs. He has knocked in 21 runs and scored 18 times. |
