9-Game Suspensions for Zavala-Martin Fight Saturday, May 18th, 2019 Jesús Zavala of the Wichita Wolverines and Cade Martin of the Rock River Rats will be on the sidelines for a few days. They have been suspended 9 games apiece by the league office for causing the bench-emptying free-for-all at the recent Wolverines-Rats game at Howling Park. Neither player had any comment about the suspensions. Both clubs told BNN Zavala and Martin will begin serving them soon. For the year Zavala has hit .194 with no home runs, 9 RBIs and scored 11 runs. For the year Martin has saved 1 games while posting an ERA of 4.53 and 46 strikeouts in 45.2 innings. His totals also include a 4-1 record in 3 relief appearances. |
