Super Swinger -- Rocher Slams 5 Hits Saturday, May 11th, 2019 The Spartans whipped the Rats 8-3 at The Rat Hole and Victor Rocher had a big hand in the win. The Spartans second baseman came to the plate 6 times and collected 5 hits. It was a good day for Rocher and a tough day for Rock River. "I just go up there and whale away and hope it hits the barrel of the bat," he said. "There really isn't any plan." Plan or not, Rocher delivered today -- 5-6 is outstanding in any league. Victor Rocher singled in the 1st, hit an RBI single in the 2nd, singled in the 4th, struck out in the 5th, singled in the 7th and singled in the 9th. For the year Rocher has hit at a .310 clip with 18 RBIs, no home runs and 30 runs scored. |
