Murfreesboro's Acker Snaps Up Player of the Week Monday, May 6th, 2019 When it came to hitting the baseball, Ron Acker was in a class by himself in the Ford Frick League this past week. Nobody did it better. The outstanding left fielder for Murfreesboro tagged opposing pitchers for a .531 average and was voted the Player of the Week Award. Included in his stats were 17 hits in 32 at-bats, 2 homers, 7 runs scored and 8 RBIs. This season Acker is swinging the bat at a .333 rate with 43 hits in 129 at-bats. To date he has hit 2 home runs, scored 23 runs and driven in 16. |
