Koizumi Goes 5-7 Tuesday, April 16th, 2019 5 hits in 7 at-bats. It doesn't happen every day, and when it does, it's exciting. Today Sadao Koizumi of the Yorba Linda Mustangs had a sensational game against Temple at Goers Field. He rifled base hits all over the ballpark in his team's 19-5 shellacking of the Goers. In the postgame press conference he joked, "Heck, that's a week's worth of hitting for me and I did ,it all in one day. I guess I can take the rest of the week off. Right, skipper?" Sadao Koizumi singled in the 1st, doubled in the 2nd, grounded out in the 4th, doubled in the 5th, grounded out in the 7th, hit a three-run home run off Jim Unknown in the 8th and singled in the 9th. This year Koizumi is hitting at a .414 pace with 1 home run and 4 RBIs. He has played in 6 games and scored 7 times. |
