Best ACL Hurler Chosen for 2018 Sunday, October 28th, 2018 The Newark clubhouse staff referred to him as "the kid" this season. Next year Hiroya Yoshida will have to have a new nickname. He earned it after winning the 2018 Alexander Cartwright League Cy Young Award. Yoshida made 36 starts this year, winning 20 and losing 7. He threw 225.2 innings, fanned 215, allowed 213 hits and 98 walks, while holding opposing teams to a .249 average as he logged an impressive 3.83 ERA. |
