Outlaws Pitching Ravaged by Fields Sunday, September 16th, 2018 The Rams whipped the Outlaws 27-0 at Parliament Field and John Fields had a big hand in the win. The Rams right fielder came to the plate 7 times and collected 6 hits. It was a good day for Fields and a tough day for Ottawa. "I just go up there and whale away and hope it hits the barrel of the bat," he said. "There really isn't any plan." Plan or not, Fields delivered today -- 6-7 is outstanding in any league. John Fields grounded out in the 1st, hit an RBI single in the 2nd, singled in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, hit a solo-shot off Brad Washington in the 6th, singled in the 8th and hit an RBI single in the 9th. In 143 games this year Fields has posted a .319 average and put up these numbers: 31 home runs, 105 RBIs and 101 runs scored. |
