Mori on Fire, 5-6 Against Riverside Sunday, September 9th, 2018 Newark shortstop Sozui Mori really lit up the Riverside Red Bulls with a 5-hit barrage today at Red Bull Stadium -- a performance that sparked the Jail Birds to a 17-7 triumph. He shrugged off the performance after the game and said, "Sometimes the ball finds outfielders, today the ball found some holes." Sozui Mori hit a solo-shot off Justin Holloway in the 1st, singled in the 2nd, hit an RBI double in the 3rd, walked in the 5th, struck out in the 7th, singled in the 8th and hit an RBI single in the 9th. So far this season Mori has put up a .320 batting average with 54 hits, 9 home runs and 40 RBIs. |
