Bad Behavior Costs Hirano and Cucalón
Friday, July 6th, 2018
One player challenged the other with some angry words at the Hackers-Goers game at San Jose Municipal Stadium yesterday. There was some pushing and shoving -- then the dugouts emptied. There was a lot of scuffling, but no punches thrown. When order was finally restored and the dust settled, the umpires ejected Silicon Valley's Yasuyuki Hirano and Temple's Máximo Cucalón.

Now both antagonists will get some time off, courtesy of the league commissioner. They were suspended 5 games for inappropriate and aggressive behavior.

Presently Hirano is hitting .274 with 10 home runs and 36 RBIs. He has played in 75 games and scored 52 times.

This season Cucalón has worked 87.2 innings with 71 strikeouts en route to a 7-4 record and a 5.65 ERA.
