Rams Chill Yamada's Hot Streak
Monday, June 18th, 2018
It was the best of both worlds for the Frisco Rams today at Cobras Ballpark as they defeated the Newark Jail Birds 4-3 and also ended Tetsu Yamada's 21-game hitting streak. The 25-year-old Newark center fielder failed to get a hit in 5 at-bats.

"Nothing personal against Tetsu, we just wanted to win the game," said the victorious Rams skipper. "We did a great job keeping him off balance and guessing."

When asked by reporters about his streak coming to an end, Yamada frowned and said, "I won't lie and say that I'm not disappointed about my streak ending, but I would feel much better about things if we had won the game."

This year Yamada is hitting .345, produced 35 RBIs and 1 home runs, scored 61 times and gotten on base at a .399 rate.
