Yamada's Hit Streak Soars to 20 Games Saturday, June 16th, 2018 Win, lose or draw -- Tetsu Yamada just keeps on getting base hits -- game after game after game. He has now stretched his hitting streak to 20 games. The Newark Jail Birds center fielder picked up 3 hits in 5 at-bats today, but it wasn't enough to win the game. His club was defeated 9-5 by the Lubbock Longhorns at North Shore Park. Tetsu Yamada flied out in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, singled in the 7th and flied out in the 8th.
